Daily Deal: The Most Expensive-Looking Handbag You've Ever Seen | The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style

Without seeing the price, how much would you think this bag costs?

$150? $300? Try $32.90.

When we first came across the Chevon Faux-Leather Backpack from Forever21, we had our socks knocked off. It just looks so much more expensive than it is, don’t you think? Of course, this bag was a no-brainer for Daily Deal.

Consider treating yourself for the holidays and grabbing a bag for yourself. At a price like this, it won’t hurt a bit.

Look For Less: Warm Winter Capes | The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style

Look For Less: Warm Winter Capes

Written By: Robin Reetz

There’s nothing more luxurious than a cape, don’t you think?

Aside from being warm and adding an extra stylish something to even the most casual winter look there’s just something about capes that gives you a little oomph.

We fell hard for this Wool Blend Wrap Front Cape at Nordstrom – but not for the price. At $428, it’s way out of our budget.

So for today’s Look For Less, we found a cape at a style and price that we love even more than the Nordstrom counterpart: the Stripe Blanket Cape from ASOS. At $33.16, this cape is whopping 92% cheaper. And if you’re not a fan of this particular cape, check out the many other options at ASOS.

Look for way less.

Budget Babe: Holiday Glam with Conair

Written By: Lilliana Vazquez

The holidays are here, which means there are plenty of parties and festivities to get glam for!  But getting gorgeous shouldn’t break the bank… and that’s where my secret (beauty) weapons come in!

My hair borders between fabulous and frizzy, so to give it a little volume and body, I turn to the new Infiniti Pro by Conair® Secret Curl.  They feature the latest hair technology in hot rollers!  These pop-up rollers are clipless for seamless curls and have a vertical design so they’re perfect even for the smallest of bathrooms like mine! And, the best part is they’re under $75 dollars!

For a festive look that’s perfect for the holidays, grab a 1”-2” section of hair and place the roller in the middle of that section – right about ear level.  Roll the hair, but make sure to leave the ends out for a more modern beachy look that isn’t too curly. I typically leave mine in for about 2-3 minutes for that perfect wave, but depending on the type of curl you want, you can leave them in longer (up to 10 minutes) for tighter, bouncy curls. You can see exactly how I used them in my latest Conair Beauty Board video, here!

And if straight is more your style, say good-bye to unwanted frizz with the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Finishing Brush. It even has a replaceable Argan Oil Treatment Strip to keep my hair looking smooth and healthy in just a few short brushstrokes!

Believe me; you’ll want to try both of these fabulous products out for yourself this holiday season!  To learn more about the Secret Curl, please visit, and for more information on the Finishing Brush, go to

And don’t forget to “like” the Conair Beauty Facebook page for more holiday glam tips from me! Happy Holiday Styling!
