Rack To Reality: Steve Madden Finley Wedge

by Monica on August 21, 2011

Steve Madden Finely Wedge: $39.99

Click it/Skip it: Click it!

Summer is winding down, but its not over yet. These wedges are the perfect item to rejuvenate your wardrobe for the rest of the summer. And they’re so cheap you won’t even feel guilty about wearing them for two months!

Fit: Perfect fit! I love Steve Madden! Their shoes are really well priced for the quality and this pair is no exception. I can wear these for hours without feeling a thing.

I have gotten so many compliments on them  and others asking me where I got them. I got mine at DSW, but online you can find them at Journey’s or Zappos (Journey’s is $20 cheaper!).

Shopper’s Notes: I love these shoes in the Natural color I have. They go with everything and have been totally versatile. However, the other day I saw someone wearing them in the Khaki (pictured above) and thought they looked so chic! They looked almost army green, which is a color you can never go wrong with. With so little summer left, I’m sure these will be able to transition into next summer, so wear them while you can and hope next summer comes fast!

Look for Less: Steve Madden Roady

by cheapchica11 on September 8, 2010

These are hands down one of my favorite pairs of boots that have come out in the past few seasons!

What many don’t realize is that the Steve Madden Roady (pictured here as the “look”) is actually a knock-off of a Charles David boot…which I own.  I splurged on it last Fall because it’s the kind of boot that makes everything look totally bad-ass and they were so comfortable I couldn’t imagine leaving the store without them!

My pair is a perfectly worn-in gray color with a red zipper up the back and that’s kind of the reason I was attracted to them in the first place! The zipper detail is oh-so cool and adds a fun touch of unexpected color!

Steve Madden did a great job of replicating this style, but at $199 it’s still really expensive for a knock-off.  Luckily, enough time has passed and other retailers have figured out how freakin’ cool this boot is and issued their own more budget friendly versions.

First example, this pair from Charlotte Russe for only $20…and NO, that’s not a typo.  TWENTY DOLLARS! The only have them in a size 6 so if you have tiny feet, consider yourself lucky because these are the deal of the century.

And if you’re feeling sad, don’t! Target has an almost identical pair (pictured right) for only $34.99 in tan and black!  Better yet, they have a full size run in both colors!!  Get these now…I lived in them last Fall!

Happy Feet!

by cheapchica11 on May 6, 2010

Picture 1You can’t deny who you are and for as much as I hate it, I’m a shoe girl!

I will gladly spend my last two cents on a new pair of shoes before I buy a new top or a bag or jewelry…shoes just make happy! :)

I feel in love with a pair of yellow Elizabeth & James heels back in February and I’ve been stalking them on Piperlime for months now, but they are just way outside of my shoe budget.

I loved the color and have been looking everywhere for something in this shade, so when I found these Steve Madden sandals in the exact same color, I was all over them!

They aren’t quite as versatile as the E&J pumps, but I don’t think I would wear these year round anyway, so they’re perfect…oh and they’re also on sale for only $49.95 so that makes them even more perfect!

And in case yellow isn’t your color they also come in coral, cobalt blue, and a really pretty blush tone!

Look for Less: Alexander McQueen

by cheapchica11 on October 14, 2009

Picture 2

Could these boots be any hotter…or any more expensive!?!  These Alexander McQueen Faithful Booties are everything that I love about Fall all wrapped up into a hawt little package with a 5″ heel!!  But as expected, they come with an outrageous $1155 price tag…

Well girls I’ve come to your rescue…or Steve Madden has once again.  His Seryna ankle boots are an almost identical copy that cost about one tenth of the price…!  Get these before they sell out!

Shoes, Shoes and More Shoes

by cheapchica11 on June 21, 2009

picture-34UPDATE:  Use code SPIN30 to save 30% on these + FREE shipping!!!

I clearly have hot pink and shoes on the brain so I’m sorry for the back to back posts, but I tried these on last week and like Kylie sings…”I just can’t get you out of my head”!!

These Makel shoes by Steve Madden are exactly what I need to add new life to everything in my closet, but they cost $109.90 which is outrageous for a pair of SM shoes!  I used my 20% off coupon code (CJDAD20) but that barely brought the price down to under $100 w/shipping…

so for now I’ll just have to wait and hope that they go on sale before the end of the Summer!!

FYI: The color on the Steve Madden website is totally off…this pic is from Zappos and it’s a much truer representation of what they look like in person.

Look for Less: Steven Bianna

by cheapchica11 on May 13, 2009

9755-834309-pSo I’m always puzzled about why “Steven” shoes sell for so much more than Steve Madden shoes???  They’re both made in China and it’s not like one has superior quality over the other one…the only real difference is that the designs are way cuter! I bet some design guru sits in their showroom and goes shoe by shoe saying “cute, not cute” and divides the collection into the Steven/Steve Madden categories…and if this really happens, can I get that job???

166124_ivor_mainNonetheless, I always fall in love with the more expensive Steven line so I was thrilled when I found this pair of sandals of Bianna sandals at a fraction of the cost at Alloy!

They have the same shell details around the ankles and the color is an exact match!  The Steven ones come in several fun colors, but I can live with Ivory only when the shoes are only costing me $29.50!

These sandals are perfect to wear with shorts and with this kind of accessory on your feet, you don’t need anything else!
