Saks has lost their mind…

by cheapchica11 on November 24, 2008

All designer items at Saks are 40% off with an additional 50% off, which translates to 70% off some of the most coveted designer brands that you could otherwise never afford!!!!  But I know that many of you skeptics need hard evidence to get you out the door, so here are some of the best examples I’ve seen:

Bottega Veneta Handbag: was $4000, now marked down to $1100

Chanel Flats: were $500, now marked down to $175

chanel-ballet-flats

Chanel Ankle Boots: $328

YSL Muse Handbag: was $1295, now marked down to $418

Roger Vivier Flats: $195

Christian Louboutin Ron Ron Pumps: $180

All that being said, RUN do not WALK to your nearest Saks, if you’ve been dreaming of owning a pair of Christian Louboutins or Chanel anything!!!!  BTW, all of the items listed above qualify as a “multiple” so you totally have my blessing!

Holiday Help from Herve Leger

by cheapchica11 on November 18, 2008

36836_in_lI’m not one to issue a “correction” or regularly admit that I’m wrong…but today I must.

A few weeks ago I cleverly denounced sequin dresses as totally over and cursed the girls that still insist on wearing them to every holiday event from now until New Years…well, I take it all back.

Upon laying eyes on this Herve Leger masterpiece- also knows as his Sequin Ombre Bandage Dress- I quickly realized that sequins, in the right vehicle, can be really elegant and not at all reminiscent of pageant queens. I love the cut, color and pattern of this stunning dress and it hits all of the right party notes for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, it’s $2,800 and I just won’t be able to swing it come this Christmas…

but go ahead and wear all of your sequins proudly…this time, I promise not to judge! ;)

Look for Less: Studded Boots

by cheapchica11 on November 4, 2008

Gucci Babouska Boot $1895     Bakers Studs Boot $245.99

I know these aren’t exactly cheap, but at 1/8 of the price of the Gucci ones, they’re certainly a steal.  Add a little edge to your look with shoes and boots featuring rivets and studs. You can pair these riveted boots with everything from jeans to a flirty dress to add a little contrast in style.

The (Cartier) Secret

by cheapchica11 on October 27, 2008

If you read this book or saw the movie, then you believe in the law of attraction.  While I doubt the writers had a Cartier Panthere ring in mind when they talked about their powerful principle, today is my 1st wedding anniversary, so I will focus my thoughts and and language on this stunning piece of bling….

and of course, on how blessed I am to have such a wonderful and loving husband and partner.

Studs and Spikes

by cheapchica11 on October 20, 2008

In no way do I think these shoes appeal to everyone, or are even wearable… unless of course, you’re a Dominatrix or Victoria Beckham, but they were specially designed for Rodarte’s Fall 2008 collection and if you’re familiar with the label then the shoes make perfect sense.

I’m really enjoying all of the collaborations between Louboutin and the slew of amazing designers he has crafted one-of-a-kind, red soled art for and I can’t wait to see more avant-garde and jaw-dropping desings from my favorite shoe maker!

After seeing these pictures, I spent the morning wondering:

A) Where I can get a pair?

B) Where can I wear them???

I get funny looks when I wear my pleather leggings around Philly…I can just imagine the stares and whispers around Rittenhouse Square when I hobble along in these masterpieces!!
