President’s Day has become so much more than honoring our forefathers, it’s now one of the biggest days to shop.
The sales are everywhere, but the one that has popped out the most to me is Kohl’s. They always have great deals but their specialty collections can be a little pricey if you’re not getting an extra discount.
Well good news….right now there is 30-50% off of LC Lauren Conrad’s Collection and Simply Vera Vera Wang Collection. And 25-40% off of the ELLE Collection.
I’m not sure of the exact date when this sale ends but for now, the prices are good!
The reason I’m specifically singling out the sales at Kohl’s is because I think that the quality of the clothing from their specialty collections are really nice.
I’ve had some of my Simply Vera clothes for years and I’m always amazed at how nice the details are for each piece. So if you’re going to shop, I recommend checking out Kohl’s!
And if you’re not interested in scouring the racks for yourself, I’ve already skimmed through the options for you…check out some of my picks below!

If you’re going to take beauty advice from someone, why not take it from a model right??
Well that’s exactly why I keep coming back to the entire line of make up and beauty products from the beautiful Josie Maran. I raved about her lipgloss a little while ago and if you haven’t had the chance to try it out, now’s the time.
One of our fabulous readers shared this amazing deal with with me and it’s the perfect way to try out some of her best-selling glosses. This set of 4 is only $29 on QVC and it includes my FAVE shade…Voluptuous! Bright lips are a must for Spring 2011 and this lip gloss will deliver a bold punch of fuchsia without feeling too intense!
And if you’re looking to test out some other of her Argan oil infused products, you must try this concealer that comes with setting powder on one end (pure genius!)…or if you need the best make up remover wipes on the market, her Bear Naked Wipes are it.
I get lazy sometimes and don’t feel like washing my face so I keep these by my bed and use them to remove all of the dirt and make up from my face…they even get off my mascara!
And unlike most of the wipes I’ve tried, these don’t leave that gross-I still need to wash my face to get off this gross residue- feeling or any kind of annoying scent because they’re formulated without any parabens, sulfates dyes or chemicals.

Working on a new wardrobe for the new year? Don’t forget what’s underneath! I always feel more confident when my outfit rocks from inside out. This means keeping a stocked lingerie drawer….which isn’t cheap.
Bras at Victoria’s Secret can generally run you anywhere from $30 to upwards of $60 each! Therefore the glamourous store is usually my last stop after more affordable options like, TJMaxx, Marshalls, Gapbody, and Aerie.
But not this week! Check out Victoria’s Secret for 25%-45% off and bras as low as $16. Usually in sales like this the bras that are worth buying…the cute ones…are sold out. Shopping the semi-annual sale online will give you a much better selection than in store and you can even chose your bra size and shop what is available to you!
Browse the site and you will find two for one deals, adorable PINK bras for less than $20, and the most expensive lines like, BioFit and Body By Victoria for up to 45% off!

Hi, my name is Lilliana and I’m addicted to dresses.
We all have our fashion vice…and for me it’s cute dresses that are office appropriate but still stylish enough to take out for cocktails. I’ve bought 30+ dresses at Forever 21 that are in constant rotation when it comes to my work clothes.
Even during the the brutal winter months when all you want to put on in the morning is sweatpants, I’ll still opt for a dress/skirt and tights over slacks or trousers. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I’m so short and I think pants make me look even shorter! Or maybe it’s just that I’m an ultra girly-girl, who can’t pass up a brightly colored, well-tailored dress like this one for $27.80!
But regardless of your style, a dress like this one (at this price) needs to go in your closet ASAP–and whether you wear it now or later, well that’s up to you!

Finally! That’s all I can say…
Since the highly coveted J Brand Houlihan Cargos came out and were subsequently spotted on every starlet in Hollywood, everyone I know has been dying for them, including me! I talked about them so much that my hubby got tired of hearing about them and very generously surprised me with a pair!
I would never spend that much on a pair of pants but since I do have them, I can now say that they would be a great investment-if there weren’t any alternatives…like these Citizen Cargos from Old Navy. My cost per wear on the Houlihans has been about $2/wear…I seriously wear them ALL the time…dressy to casual and everything in-between!
So now let’s go to the Old Navy version. They come in Forest and Taupe and in sizes 0-20…and the best part, right now they’re on sale in store for only $19!! I love my J Brands to death, but since I obviously can’t afford another pair, the Old Navy ones have come to my rescue!
I’ve looked high and lo for a budget-friendly version and these are by far the best I’ve seen anywhere. The material on these and the Forest color is almost identical of the J Brand Vintage Westpoint. These pants are soft, comfortable and they will be a very welcome update to all the denim you have in your closet.
And please be sure to shop in-store for these. A lot of the sizes are sold out online but my local Old Navy had plenty of stock in all sizes and colors!!

While I have no complaints about my week long vacation in Hawaii, it’s kind of nice to come back to Philly and feel a slight chill in the air…
The second I got home, I took all of my boots out of storage and started planning my many many outfit combos when I realized that I have no cute sweaters to wear NOW!
Everything I have is either too light (I own endless cardigans) or too heavy for October/November so I hit the web in search of Fall’s perfect sweater and look what I found…
This Cable Knit Sweater from Threadsence is everything you need for Fall all rolled up into one very stylish sweater! I added it to my cart instantly and can’t wait to wear it with leggings, under my new cape, with jeans, with my black bandage skirt and tights…and with every single pair of boots I own! Too bad it only comes in one color!
Its priced at $52 which is a total steal compared to other chunky knits out there that look this fashion forward, but if you use the code “heartcheapchica” at checkout you’ll get 30% off this item!! And for those of you out there that don’t do math (like yours truly) that makes this sweater only $35 bucks!

Tucker is known for its signature prints and vintage-inspired silhouettes and this is definitely reflected throughout her collection for Target-which you know we’re obsessed with!
The line consists of beautiful, feminine printed dresses, tailored skirts, but what’s really making me take a second look are the gorgeous jackets! The two that really stood out to me (maybe because we’ve finally had a hint of cooler weather) were the Hooded Wrap Jacket in Orange Herringbone and the Trench in Green Herringbone.
The Hooded Wrap is right in line with the camel-colored trend of the Fall – and who doesn’t love to have a hood?! The more sophisticated Trench is military-inspired and adds a touch of masculinity to any printed dress and tights.
Both are under $60 – a great buy for a great piece! The collection is only available at Target until October 17, so hurry – if it’s like any other collaboration they do, these are sure to go fast!!

Hello, my name is Lilliana and I’m addicted to sequins…
It’s starting to get a little out of control, but luckily (at least for my budget) I’m starting to see some more budget friendly sequin pieces in stores. Including this sequin jacket! I was dying for one of these last Fall but the one I had my eye on was almost $200 and that’s way too much money to spend on a “here today, gone tomorrow” trend like this one.
This sequin jacket from Charlotte Russe is only $54 bucks and just the thing to take anything in your closet from drab to fab! And if anyone has seen sequin pants like these TDF pants from J.Crew–please email me! I need them!!

I actually saw this skirt over a month ago at my F21 in the Cherry Hill Mall but they were sold out. There was one left on the mannequin but it had a hold tag on it for someone and I was devastated.
BTW, did you know you can hold items at Forever 21 if you see something on the mannequin that you like? Just ask the salesperson to put your name and number on it and they’ll call you when they switch out the clothes–but act fast! They usually merchandise w/the best stuff and it goes quickly!
Anyway, I love all the detail on this skirt–it makes it look so expensive but it’s only $29.00! Not to mention, the color is that perfect neutral so you can play it up with earth tones or brights! This is definitely one of those pieces to wear now and later!

My number one obsession isn’t heels or bags right now…it’s T-shirts! In my opinion there is nothing like that perfect tee that makes you feel comfortable and still has that laid back sexy look.
The funny thing is- something as simple as a great t-shirt is not as easy to come by as most might think! One of my bigger problems is that when I find the perfect tee (James Perse I’m talking to you!) it’s usually close to $100 (if not more) simply because it’s got a designer label attached to it!
Well today is my (and now your) lucky day if you’ve been in search of the perfect inexpensive tee!! Target has the most comfortable V-neck tee I have found yet, and it’s only $8!!! There are only 3 colors available online, but for a more extensive color selection you can check in your local Target. Either way, my advice is to stock up.
Styling Tips: One of my favorite ways to wear this…pair any v-neck tee with a black bandage skirt and flat sandals for day–then dress it up with heels/sandals for a perfect night outfit!
