Deal of the Week: Coach Sale

by cheapchica11 on May 31, 2011

I’ve been waiting for these fabulous Coach sandals to go on sale so I could finally share them with all of you and shout from the rooftops how much I love them!

I did a shoot at the Coach store in the West Village store last month for LX/New York Live (click here to watch the segment) and I got to play dress up with everything…I’m talking bags, jewelry and shoes and I was blown away by the quality and styling of their new Spring collection…especially the shoes! I have a pair of Coach boots that I lived in last Fall/Winter but I never thought to look there for sandals…boy was I wrong.

Not only are their styles super cute, but they’re soooo comfortable.  Most of the styles I fell in love with have a wider stacked heel and while they’re definitely tall, they’re not too tall which makes them totally wearable for everyday.  I’ve been wearing the Geneveeve (tassel style) non-stop and have also added the Brynne to my collection, but now that they’re on sale for $99 down from $198 (that’s 50% off for in-season styles!) I’m going to be adding a few more! But shop fast, there’s now way these are going to last at these prices!

Deal of The Week: The One Piece

by cheapchica11 on May 25, 2011

They say pictures speak a thousand words and this picture says everything I could ever possibly want say about my new found love for one-pieces! I’m obsessed to say the least not just with the color, the style, the asymmetrical ruffle, and the cut but also the price! I had to rub my eyes to make sure my contacts lenses weren’t causing my vision to blur and in turn the price on my computer screen…click here to find why this may just be the best buy of the Summer! Thank you ASOS!

PS: Check out the back…I love how from the front it looks like a one-piece, but from the back it totally looks like a bikini! I can’t wait to get this in the mail!

Deal of The Week: Day Dressing

by cheapchica11 on May 18, 2011

Oh Summer…how I dream of your sunny, warm days when a dress like this is the only thing I want to wear.  I don’t know about the rest of the country, but the East Coast is till pretty chilly for May so instead of getting to wear all of my cute Spring clothes–that I’ve been buying for months–I’m now stockpiling it all for the Summer.

One thing missing from my Spring purchases were dresses.  I tend to overbuy dressy-dresses and work dresses but for some crazy reason, I often skip over more casual, easy breezy dresses like this one from Forever 21.

I fell in love with both colors (it comes in coral too!) and you just can’t beat the $16 price tag! Oh and how cute would this look with the yellow wedges pictured in the Best Buys section…instant Summer outfit for under $60 bucks!

Boot Scootin’ Into Summer…

by Ann Whitbeck on May 6, 2011

Boots you ask? On the eve of spring and all shoes open toed and airy? Yes, but these are not your average boots…these little babies will be your go-to shoe this Spring! When you are looking for a little more edge than your ballet flats and your tootsies have no business seeing the light of day, reach for this boot.

They are very downtown in a model- off- duty, strutting at a music festival sort of way. And did I mention very, very affordable? I bought these boots from Forever 21 for $34 and I am considering buying another pair already! Just because….They. Are. Fabulous. The color is a lovely luxe camel, they are as comfy as flip flops and the ankle height is flattering with just about any outfit.

I have been mixing these with everything from jean cut off shorts and a peasant blouse or my floral shift dress and cropped leather jacket. Seriously, I am obsessed. Check out how some of these celebrities have styled their boots and snag this pair for yourself.

Note: Music Festival and big sunnies not included!

Deal of the Week: Wooden Bangles

by cheapchica11 on April 15, 2011

After so many seasons of the statement necklace it’s very refreshing to see something new make a statement…

This spring its all about bold bangles.  I love the look of a wrist full of bracelets stacked up all the way to my elbows! There’s something very exotic and Carmen Miranda about it and now that this look has been spotted all over the runway (thank you Marc Jacobs!) people won’t look at me like I’m crazy when I layer 20 bracelets!

When it comes to this look it’s all about a very organic and eclectic mix which is why you need a wood (or several) bangle in the mix.  While we all love our silver and gold stacks, adding something natural really helps anchor the look and make it much more wearable.

And don’t be afraid to mix in some color too!  Dark wood tones look best with brights and this set from Forever 21 has to be the best deal on a perfectly mixed set…

I love how expensive these look and how with just one set of these you can really spice up a plain outfit of jeans/short and a tee-shirt!  So for now, retire all those big bold necklaces and layer on the bracelets…the more the merrier!

Deal of the Week: 40% off at Gap

by Monica on March 15, 2011

Glamour Magazine and GAP have partnered to offer you 40% off one regular priced item now through April 30th! Just mention the code GLAMOUR40 at the checkout to save!

This is the perfect way to buy your favorite spring piece now and not on sale, when spring is basically over.

I have been pre-shopping online and I can’t decide what I will pick up in store…I love these GAP flats but there are already on sale so I may not need to use my coupon.

I might go for the white wash wide leg jeans that were $69.50 and get them for $41.70…0r I might refresh my wardrobe with a new utility jacket that would end up being $47.70!

What do you ladies have your eyes on for spring?

Deal of The Week: Strappy Stilettos

by cheapchica11 on March 3, 2011

I just got back from LA on Thursday and since I’m heading back there next week, I’m kind of pretending that my cold, dark, winter days are very numbered…hence all my recent Spring purchases!

The truth is, Philly can be cold until late April so the chances of me actually getting to wear these anytime soon is slim to none, but is there anything better than having a great pair of sexy sandals looking at you every morning to help you get through the winter doldrums??

I’m a total sucker for shoes in this color and one of the reasons I got them, besides the fact that they were under $25, was because they will look great with my black tights that I’ve been living in all winter.

I hate seeing girls pair too-delicate strappy sandals with tights-it just irks me- but these shoes are substantial enough to balance out a dark, opaque leg! Click here to buy them…and they also come in black!

Krazy for Kohls…

by cheapchica11 on February 22, 2011

President’s Day has become so much more than honoring our forefathers, it’s now one of the biggest days to shop.

The sales are everywhere, but the one that has popped out the  most to me is Kohl’s. They always have great deals but their specialty collections can be a little pricey if you’re not getting an extra discount.

Well good news….right now there is 30-50% off of LC Lauren Conrad’s Collection and Simply Vera Vera Wang Collection. And 25-40% off of the ELLE Collection.

I’m not sure of the exact date when this sale ends but for now, the prices are good!

The reason I’m specifically singling out the sales at Kohl’s is because I think that the quality of the clothing from their specialty collections are really nice.

I’ve had some of my Simply Vera clothes for years and I’m always amazed at how nice the details are for each piece. So if you’re going to shop, I recommend checking out Kohl’s!

And if you’re not interested in scouring the racks for yourself, I’ve already skimmed through the options for you…check out some of my picks below!

Deal of the Week: Josie Maran Lip Gloss Set

by cheapchica11 on February 2, 2011

If you’re going to take beauty advice from someone, why not take it from a model right??

Well that’s exactly why I keep coming back to the entire line of make up and beauty products from the beautiful Josie Maran.  I raved about her lipgloss a little while ago and if you haven’t had the chance to try it out, now’s the time.

One of our fabulous readers shared this amazing deal with with me and it’s the perfect way to try out some of her best-selling glosses.  This set of 4 is only $29 on QVC and it includes my FAVE shade…Voluptuous! Bright lips are a must for Spring 2011 and this lip gloss will deliver a bold punch of fuchsia without feeling too intense!

And if you’re looking to test out some other of her Argan oil infused products, you must try this concealer that comes with setting powder on one end (pure genius!)…or if you need the best make up remover wipes on the market, her Bear Naked Wipes are it.

I get lazy sometimes and don’t feel like washing my face so I keep these by my bed and use them to remove all of the dirt and make up from my face…they even get off my mascara!

And unlike most of the wipes I’ve tried, these don’t leave that gross-I still need to wash my face to get off this gross residue- feeling or any kind of annoying scent because they’re formulated without any parabens, sulfates dyes or chemicals.

Inexpensive Intimates…

by Monica on January 26, 2011

Working on a new wardrobe for the new year? Don’t forget what’s underneath! I always feel more confident when my outfit rocks from inside out. This means keeping a stocked lingerie drawer….which isn’t cheap.

Bras at Victoria’s Secret can generally run you anywhere from $30 to upwards of $60 each! Therefore the glamourous store is usually my last stop after more affordable options like, TJMaxx, Marshalls, Gapbody, and Aerie.

But not this week! Check out Victoria’s Secret for 25%-45% off and bras as low as $16. Usually in sales like this the bras that are worth buying…the cute ones…are sold out. Shopping the semi-annual sale online will give you a much better selection than in store and you can even chose your bra size and shop what is available to you!

Browse the site and you will find two for one deals, adorable PINK bras for less than $20, and the most expensive lines like, BioFit and Body By Victoria for up to 45% off!
