After some time off from the blog (please forgive me?) I can’t tell you how excited I am to be back! As some of you know, I took a little break right around the holidays to finish up work on my new book– The CheapChica’s Guide to Style: Secrets to Shopping Cheap, Looking Chic! The book is scheduled for a Fall release and I can’t wait to share it with you.
It’s been such a labor of love and if anyone tells you that writing a book is a walk in the park then they’re either lying or their book just isn’t that good. I’ve had so much fun during this process (especially the photo shoots- that’s me under the ladder trying to always get the best shot) and while I wouldn’t take back any of the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into this project, let’s just say I grossly underestimated how all consuming it would be.
The good news is, I’ve put everything I have into a book that feels so true to me, the blog and most importantly that’s worthy of you, my dear readers and fans. AND…now that it’s almost all done, I’ll be back to a more regular blogging schedule!
I can’t share too much before May 1 when the book is available for pre-sale, but I met with my publisher yesterday and got a sneak peek at some of the sample pages inside the book…enjoy and please share your thoughts in the comments or tweet them to me @cheapchicas! And I’d love to know what should the hashtag (#) for the book should be…help me come up with a fun one!
