Look for Less: Cable-knit Chic

It’s funny how a change in climate can inspire the biggest change to your regular wardrobe. I just got back from an incredible vacation in Puerto Rico where the biggest decision I had to make everyday was one-piece or bikini…my point is when you simplify your wardrobe options you simplify your stress.

It seems simple (and obvious) enough but in the past I’ve agonized over picking perfect outfits and thereby added unnecessary stress to an already stressful life.  The fall and winter become such a style challenge for many of us…how can you look cute layered?  How can you make a puffy coat not so puffy? And how do I look stylish when it’s below freezing?

So many questions, but the answer is easy…keep it simple…like Gwyneth.  A good chunky cable-knit sweater like this one will really go the distance once the temps cool off and will look just as good with your favorite worn in jeans as it does with this season’s must have- leather leggings!

And while Gywn’s costs a fortune I’m sure, this one from Chaps nails the color to a “t”, has extra long sleeves and if you go one size up it’ll give you that cozy, over-sized look for under $35 bucks!

So this winter take a cue from Gwyneth’s laid back approach and stock up on classic sweaters in neutral colors that will make getting dressed every day a breeze- just add pants…or leather leggings if you dare!
