CheapChica’s Guide to Style — The CheapChica's Guide to Style

Just the Sleeves Please

by admin on October 15, 2012

The leather invasion has begun and Fall has never looked so chic.  Generally, leather comes with a hefty price tag, not to mention the question of the garment’s practicality! But don’t worry, there are countless ways to incorporate a leather piece and if you’re looking for understated and inexpensive, you’ve met your match… enter, the leather sleeve.

A leather-sleeve top is the perfect way to make a subtle statement with this material. and you don’t need to spend a fortune to sport this sleek look thanks to faux leather options.

Take for example, the structured tee. Trouve has a statement tee that’s almost identical to the Jil Sander version for under $90.

Have you checked out Nicole Richie’s collection for Macys? Her line includes a 3/4” length tee that is unbelievably versatile, and it’s under $60!

Now when it gets a little colder, this Asos long-sleeve top is the perfect fall find and a steal for under $45! Want something a little warmer? Check out this great piece from Zara for under $80! I love the way they mixed this chunky sweater with leather sleeves, perfect for a winter day!

Any of these leather sleeved options are great for work or play–pair them with a printed pencil skirt for the office or a metallic trouser for night-time glam. Any way you wear it, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
