The F.A.B Report: Saddle Up

by Ann Whitbeck on September 13, 2011

I’m talking about the good kind of saddle bags ladies. Yes, they are all over for Fall, oozing the kind of laid back sophisticated 70’s vibe we all are craving this season.

Hang up your slouchy summer bag and grab one of these structured (fall trend-check!) and ladylike classic (trend-check, check!!). Pair them with your flare jeans, midi skirt or Fall knit dress for instant, effortless glam.

I am in love with the simplicity of the saddle bag look and the practicality of the design. Many of the saddle bags are crossbody, adding utility without sacrificing style. This is the kind of bag that will be useful and stylish for years to come.

So if you are up for a little fall purse shopping, this is your bag. There are also some great saddle bags out there that are so affordable! Check out this one from ASOS! It comes in a bold color, it’s a great size and only $54!! Nice.

But if I can tempt you with a small splurge, why not have all eyes on your handbag with one of these neon saddle bags from The Original Satchel Store…

They come in hot pink, yellow, green and orange and for $136 they may be totally worth it…and if you do make the purchase (and you should) spend the extra $15 bucks for the monogram.  Nothing screams chic like a monogram!

The key to choosing a saddle bag that walks the line between modern and vintage is to look for unique details, bright colors, and a smaller slimmed down size…take a look at some of these budget friendly bags and saddle up!!

Hi,
I’m new to your blog and I’m in love! I especially love those adorable hot pink bootie shoes in your header & am wondering if they are still available somewhere?

Thanks!
