I’m loving the everything J.Crew is doing for Fall…I’ve become mildly obsessed with their website, the catalog and even the store across the street from my office. It’s getting out of hand…
but what I’m really fixated on is all the bright pants they have splashed on the pages of every spread! It’s out of control how much I want them (in every color)…before this season, I think it’s been about 10 years since I bought pants as separates. I just never really liked them but now for Fall 2011 it’s all I want to buy.
The J.Crew cafe capri is perfection in a pant. It comes in regular and petite (yay!) and it’s available in 6 colors plus plaids. I also loved the Minnie (here’s my write up of it) but both of these are a little on the pricey side. I’ve been waiting for more affordable bright pants to pop up and I’m happy to report that they did!
Zara has some great styles…like these. H&M had a pair of bright Kellly green ones for less than $25 and ASOS does it again with their Jet Pocket Slim style…
The mustard color featured here is only $36 so it’s a great buy if you’re on the fence about this trend…but trust me, once you get your butt into a pair of punchy pants, you won’t want to wear anything else.
When it comes to fit, make sure they hit you right at the ankle…and if you’re wondering what to pair them with, try a silky button down blouse and leopard pumps or color block them with a complimentary color!

Love the teal ones w/ the neon belt!
I’ve been dying for some brightly colored pants but the ones I find are either too expensive or skinny, which doesn’t work for a girl with hips. Know of any in the lower price range that would be flattering for a pear shape?
