Think Pink!

by cheapchica11 on October 10, 2010

October is not only the kick-off to amazing fall fashion, but more importantly it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Every 69 seconds someone dies from breast cancer in the world.  With such a scary statistic its so important for women to be aware of the risk factors and to take part in self exams and yearly screenings.  Whether you are personally affected or know someone who is going through it, there’s plenty we can do to raise awareness.   You can participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure or simply make a donation through The Breast Cancer Research Fund.

Here at CheapChicas, we’re doing our part by shopping!  Here are a few things pink and chic to help you get started…

L to R: Opi Pink of Hearts; Rumba Time BCRF watch; New Balance Sports Bra; Tory Burch Rain Boots; Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick; Tweezerman Tweezers; Sony Pink E-Reader Bundle

Thank you for featuring Breast Cancer Awareness. I’d also like to add that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month — this is another great cause that deserves a mention, too!
