This dress looks really plain in the picture and it’s totally basic, but that’s what I love about it! I was hesitant when I first saw it in store but upon closer inspection I was ready to purchase! Despite the solid color and simple silhouette this is definitely not a shy dress thanks to some fun details! Note: if you prefer patterns I found this dress in store in a soft floral.
Fit: I typically wear a small at most stores, but at Forever21 I tend to wear a medium because things always run short or tight. In this dress however, I opted for a small because the armpit holes and the top were a bit baggy in the medium. The M made the top look a bit awkward on me and you could see my bra–and not in a good way!
Keep in mind, if you have a larger bust…the neckline is a scoop so there will be some cleavage involved.
Shopper’s Notes: Notice the subtle details in this dress…the back has an exposed zipper and the skirt has pockets! Overall, I found this dress very slimming and flattering. It is a “laid back sexy” and ideal for summer nights, promising to keep you feeling comfortable and cool.

Oh, how I miss the discount from when I worked at their corporate store! *sigh*
I absolutely adore dresses with pockets, and the exposed zipper is such a nice touch.
