In trying to wade your way through the always-overwhelming world of vintage jewelry, it’s best to zero-in on one item. Today, I want to concentrate on cuffs.
I have been noticing more than a few of these on recent runways (check out the ever-fabulous Blumarine, Spring 2010 above), and I love how a wrist piece can sometimes make a bigger statement than one might think, understated or not.
Recently, I’ve seen quite a few of these popping up bearing an appliqué of some sort (especially flowers—big for spring)… take a look at this vintage option for only $15.00 (!)…
But to me, there’s just something about a simple metal or black cuff that is so chic and so timeless. They really do go with everything. These are a no-fail as far as I’m concerned. This is also a great option for those of you out there who aren’t quite feeling the statement necklace craze but are still up for a bold piece of jewelry this spring…
Might I add too: what’s great about vintage is that these bold pieces, which usually cost twice the price retail, are surprisingly affordable (it’s never an issue finding one for under $30.00) and Etsy has an endless amount of beautiful, affordable options. Like this one above for only $25.75…
Happy vintage hunting!

I totally agree on cuffs (though I also think one can’t go wrong with an armful of gold or silver bangles, either!). I have antique-looking gold cuff that I got at Forever 21 five years ago that seriously still looks like new, and I wear it with everything!
I have about 5 cuffs in my wardrobe right now. They are a power statement to me. Maybe I’m channeling Wonder Woman when I wear them?:).
I really love the cuff that you posted! I hope I can find one! I have a hard time keeping stuff like that on me. I can’t wait to search them out though!
I bought a fabulous brushed silver cuff from Express this weekend for $16… throw in their current promotion of bogo50 and I ended up also snatching a gorgeous gold headband. I love the brushed silver look of the cuff I bought, giving it a work but clean look.

Bracelets are huge, and alternative metals and materials are really current in the jewelry world, too. Because people love their pets, I have started a new line of exotic leather collars (for cats and dogs) and matching bracelets for their people. The come in a wide variety of skins, colors and patterns. Each features my trademarked signature mini open paw print charm in silver and hand set cz’s, and are made in the USA. Sterling silver tags from my Peace and LOVE collection match the brushed finish of the buckle. They, too are made in the USA (Philly!!!) and are hand engraved with love. The tag can be for a pet’s collar or work as a large charm for the bracelet.
I have them in all colors to match everything in your wardrobe!
