Lately, it seems that every time I go shopping I find more and more studded garments on the racks…
Not to mention, I’ve seen countless pictures of uber-cool model types, rocking this look (see above). What I love about this DIY is that it’s quick and easy, it’s a cheap way to update your old jeans, and it’s totally up to you where you decide to stud!
You’ll need: Pronged pyramid studs Jeans Jewelry pliers or tweezers (pliers are recommended-and very cheap to purchase if you don’t already own) Step One: Grab a stud. With your jeans facing the right side up, place the stud near the edge of your jeans’ pocket and push it so the prongs go through to the other side of the fabric.
Step Two: With your jewelry pliers, fold down each prong of the stud (the ones pictured have eight prongs). Run your finger over the back to check for any pieces that may be sticking out, flatten any problems.
Step Three: Repeat for the entire opening of the pocket, or skip a few pieces and create your own pattern. Repeat with the other pockets, and your finished!

…and voilam, your new DIY masterpiece!

Hi, this looks great!!
Have you had any problems with the studs tarnishing/rusting? I’m thinking of studding a collar of a shirt but I’m worried about how I’ll wash it if the studs are going to rust
Thanks
