Inspired by…Cargo Chic

Picture 4Cargosurplusmilitary…call it what you like but this boyish trend will make you want to trade your signature leather jacket for a lighter alternative this spring. Although the word “cargo” may make you hesitate to try this new craze, don’t be scared, this look is anything but plain and boxy…it will have you oohing and ahhing in delight!

How fabulous does this girl look wearing a frilly skirt and J.Crew cargo inspired jacket? I love the combo of girly and rugged. It is a great new take on menswear and much more relaxed!

When wearing this trend…just beware to not lose your feminine figure! Pair it with flowery patterns, silk blouses, ruffles, fitted skirts and of course a great mini dress!

The best thing about cargo jackets this season, are that they have either a tie or are cropped just the right way to still give you that lovely figure.

Priced just about the same as a leather jacket, you won’t be disappointed in spending a little extra for this great new staple.

Here are my favorite (budget friendly) cargo chic picks…

I just gave away one of these jackets b/c I never wore it, and now I’m kicking myself! Oh well! Guess I’ll just have to buy a new one! ;)
