Last week we reviewed and you voted culotte style shorts (look three) as your favorite. This week we’re admiring the fashionable and brave thigh-high boots wearers. These tall boots were all over the runway for fall 2009, and now we’re beginning to see them on the streets.
Our first look, by agogofashion on chictopia, goes for a bohemian look in a faux-fur vest, a loose blouse, leggings, and gorgeous brown boots.
On a sleeker note, we have look two, via Jak & Jil blog. The black boots work nicely with a pair of skinny jeans, tank top and blazer. The outfit is casual but very sophisticated.
In look three, via Mr. Newton, thigh-high boots are worn with a dress in a non-trashy way. Because of the high neckline, short sleeves and loose silhouette, this lady looks simply stylish. The leather jacket doesn’t hurt either.
Lastly, look four from Stockholm Street Style, features a flat-heeled, thigh-high boot. When paired with a billowy white dress and casual jacket, the look is effortless and endlessly stylish.
psst-Love the look but can’t afford new boots? Try what this lovely lady did by wearing thigh-high socks that are the same color as your boots.

I have been wanting to try thigh high boots for awhile now but always afraid it may look trashy. But this posts helps give me ideas on how to style the boots correctly.
Lisa,
Thigh high boots are like anything. They can look trashy if someone has no taste. For example, even a t-shirt can look trashy if t he rest of the outfit is wrong and the fit isn’ t right. Thigh boots can look trashy if they are cheapo vinyl ones, but when you have a sophisticated or strong sense of style, thigh boots are the perfect accent. Take a look at how perfectly Jane Krakowski pulls it off here:

The thing about high boots is they can be classy and sassy at the same time and still be very chic and sophistocated.
I absolutely adore these looks (the 4th being my favorite)
Now that we’re in fall. Are there others ways to wear this ongoing trend?
Hi all, love the inspiration here I’ve had a pair for years and have only worn them pulled up to thigh level twice because we all know with the wrong outfit you end up looking more cheap than chic! However I have an outfit for the weekend which is exactly like look 3 so.. No more second thoughts here!
Quick note: the boots I have a very versatile black suede ..you can scrunch them down to just below the knee (better than any gathered boots in stores) or fold the top down to reveal the inner leather very pirate/military chic
Hey presto -3 Boots in 1. I love my boots!
