Dressed Up Cardis

by cheapchica11 on October 4, 2009

Picture 1This summer the “dressy-tee” was all the rage.  I lusted after countless styles every time I walked into J.Crew but waited until they went on sale to buy up everyone I could get my hands on.

Well for Fall, the same details you loved about the  “dressy-tee” have moved on to cardigans.  Your basic 3/4 sleeve cashmere (or synthetic in my case) cardi will no longer do!

This season look for cardigans with all kinds of luxe details like chiffon, sequins, and pearl buttons like the ones on this military style Twelve by Twelve sweater. I actually own this one in grey (only b/c they didn’t have it in peach) and it’s amazing!  I want to wear it every day and for only $32 it’s a total steal.  It not only looks like Chanel, but it’s super versatile so don’t be afraid to take your cardi for a night out on the town!

And lucky for us, there are plenty of dressed up cardigans out there to suit every price range.  Check out these sophisticated options below and give your boring basics a serious upgrade this season!

Oooooh WOW!

You’re making me want to run to F21 right about now.

An even better idea would be to take your old basic cardigans and jazz them up at home. Brass buttons, lace, pearls, trimming- -all cheap and easy DIY enhancements.
