I’m ecstatic that there is actually a pair of skinny “jeans” out there that will not cut off my circulation…and they’re now knows as Jeggings! Ah, what a fun word to say!
My first instinct was to make my jeggings more of a casual, day type look with long blazers, baggier t-shirts, bangle bracelets and maybe even a hat thrown in the mix… but upon further thought I realized that these babies are perfect for those nights out when you have “nothing to wear”and I can totally see them looking fierce with my new sequin jacket!
My only request is that you DO NOT TRY this trend with any kind of body suit or form fitting top. This look is all about playing with proportions and if you do tight on bottom, there is really no need to do tight on top! That would just create a tight mess and no one has that good of a body…well unless you’re a VS model who reads this blog and then you’re free to wear whatever the hell you want!
This is a really fun style that is comfy and surprisingly chic so feel free to play with it and make it your own! So what do you say girls, can you handle jeggings?

I definitely love your blog, I’m even subscribed to the rss feed and read you daily, but I have to point something out of this post.
Us women are always surrounded by negative messages regarding our bodies, “You’re not tall enough”, “You’re not thin enough”, you’ve heard them. And reading from your post, quote: “no one has that good of a body” just made me sad. We not only have to deal with ads and fashion companies telling us what is wrong about ourselves, but now with us, the same women these negative messages are targeted to? Wouldn’t it feel better for everyone to say: if you have a curvacious body, do not try to tight on top, tight on bottom? Just a positive critic, I guess.
Definitely want to wear some jeggings this fall! Though I tried a pair on from Urban Outfitters and I didn’t like the look on me…so I need to find the right pair!
I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of jeggings as of late. I want to try them out at an affordable price before I splurge on something more expensive; it’s so hard to find jeggings that are…within a college student’s budget!
mark has a great pair of denim leggings i love them and wear them with long tunic tops they are great for all body types try them out and for $25 dollars they are a steal i own them personaly and love them you cant go wrong with them. www,mymarkstore.com/kaguirre
I just love jeggins. They are so comfy. Today I found a perfect pair at Macy’s for $ 29.95 and than 25% off.The color is a very dark denim and the fit is perfect. High rise and totally skinny and long .I just love them.I have very skinny legs and no butt so I love to wear these with very loose longer tops.
Also, I do have a tummy pouch and normal skinny jeans hurt me when I bend or kneel or lift at work. These jeggins move with me ,conceal the stomach a little without giving me a stomach ache and lift the butt.I just wish they would have come out with this idea 20 years ago .There are also several jeggings at NY$Co. which are all very nice and reasonably prices but are too short for me. Some of those even have fake fly, pockets and beltloops. If I had the body to wear those with tucking a white shirt in that would be heavenly.
I’m absolutely in love with my jeggings! I bought the same ones Paris Hilton was seen sporting. They are made by Niki Biki and just like the
Niki Biki camisoles
they wont bag out of loose their shape after being worn all day. To purchase your own visit

I like flaii’s honesty, she makes a really good point too.
I got myself a pair of jeggings for $10 at a local mall. Great quality and great comfort!
i read the suggestion that “no one has that good of a body” in a helpful way (positive light). wearing clothes that flatter your shape, that fit properly and that, overall, are appropriate often will increase someone’s body image/self-perception/self-confidence. had cheapchica led us all to believe that we could put our jeggings on with a tight tee and look & feel great in them, we’d probably be disappointed when we ended up feeling lumpy, frumpy or just not looking our best.
i think that the problem with today’s fashion advertising is not that we’re told our bodies are “bad” or “wrong” but that we’re misled by the styling and presentation. (and then WE think that our bodies are “bad” or “wrong” when the clothes don’t work on us the way we think we were told they would.) we’re led to believe that the items will fit us and look just as good on us styled in the exact same way that they are in the pictures/on the runways. part of the blame can be placed on the industry for that presentation, but it should also be up to the consumer to become educated about what fits, what works and what flatters and make changes as needed.
i thought of cheapchica’s comment more as a caveat than as a deprecation.
(and in my own opinion, even a VS model shouldn’t wear jeggings with tight (or short, at least) shirts – it’s just not flattering. they’re not pants, they’re leggings.)
