The Row Shoes

I was really excited to see the shoes from MK and Ashley’s new shoe collection for The Row, especially when I heard they were developing the line with Steve Madden.  Most of the prices at SM start off a little high, but they do  have great sales so I was hoping to score a pair of the twin’s shoes for under $100.

Well, no such luck.  According to WWD, the collection will sell for $195 to $500 and only at high-end stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus…no suburban malls for these mini-moguls and their 5″ heels!

From what I saw on WWD, the shoes are fantastic and I love the buttons running up the back of this shoe above…kind of reminds me of my wedding dress, if it had been black!  But I don’t think their shoes are worth that kind of dough…would you pay this much for these shoes?

I’d pay up to 200$ for those shoes if I had the money to spend and they seemed comfortable and wearable when I tried them on. I love the pleats and buttons, and I think they would go with a lot of things. They’re not super trendy-looking, so I think you could wear them year after year. However, I’m kind of a DIY girl, and as soon as I saw the picture I started thinking about attaching covered buttons to the backs of some heels I already have. :)

I wouldn’t pay that much for anything Mary Kate and Ashley related! I just don’t think thier celebrity image implies enough of a gaurentee of quality. Plus if you’ve got $200 to spend and some patience, you can get something really really awesome at a NM Last Call.
