If you watched David Letterman last night, your saw LC talk about what she “does” and what the future has in store for The Hills…but I was more interested in her adorable outfit. I love how she mixed Navy and Black (something I’ve been doing for years) and proved that those two colors look really sophisticated when paired together.
What I really appreciate about this outfit is the versatility and how each piece can also be worn on it’s own. I also love the wide leg trousers paired with wide belt to give the illusion of a high-waist.
The cropped jacket is the icing on the cake and it works perfectly…notice how the bottom of the jacket hits the near the top of the pants. When you’re wearing a cropped/ short jacket, make sure that you pair it with something high-waisted or at your natural waist. You don’t want a 12″ gap between the bottom of your jacket and the top of your pants. It’s all about playing with proportions, but lets be smart about it.
